The Rodi playing card holder is conceived as a
compact, composed object where material and
proportion define its character. The main structure
is carved from a solid block of colored travertine and
its essential geometry softened by carefully balanced
volumes that highlight the stone’s natural depth and
variation. A removable leather-covered lid completes
the upper profile and is mirrored by a leather-covered
fixed base beneath. When closed, this dual presence
creates a refined symmetry, giving the piece a sense of
visual calm and intentional equilibrium.
Inside, the holder contains two decks of professional-
grade playing cards, chosen for their superior quality
and tactile precision. Rodi turns the moment of play
