WITH JESSICA SCHNEIDER
In Germany, there are many top interior design firms and fan-
tastic interior designers incredibly creative and professional.
COVETED MAGAZINE introduces you to Jessica Schneider, an
outstanding interior designer with innovative work in Clinic’s
design.Jessica Schneider has answered a few questions that invite
us to get to know her and her work better. She was born on May
09, 1983 and has studied architecture in Dortmund (2008) as
well as architecture media management in Bochum (2011). Some
of the highlights of her professional experience are the modern-
ization of existing buildings, the creation of interior design con-
cepts for dental offices, private homes and facilities. When asked:
“Why did you choose architecture for your life?” She said, “I have
a taste for aesthetics, for beautiful things in life, and am passion-
ate about creatively developing and redesigning spaces.” She loves
above all the fact that every day is different. “My work is very
diverse, and I love it. Each day is different and there are daily ex-
citing tasks, from the creative design process to the final result.
To develop furniture, colour and light concepts depending on the
subject and the desired ambiences makes me very happy. In spite
of my education as an architect, my heart beats for interior de-
sign.” Jessica loves not only interior design but also travelling,
design hotels, city trips, magazines and trade fairs, as well as,
fitness, her three dogs, horseback riding, motorboat driving, art,
cooking, sun. She loves the beach in the summer and the moun-
tains in the winter. These many passions have become the source
for her incredible creativity and inspiration. “I feel excited about
many styles. What is important is that the interior space fits into
the surrounding space, either by fitting in or playing with con-
trasts. I personally love Art Deco interior, but also very old furni-
ture. My favourite colours are black, white and gold.” Schneider
can be described in three words: perfectionist, design lover and
creative. However, “three words are not enough”.
Regarding new projects, she says: “I am currently working on
an exciting project for a nice couple living in a wonderful Bau-
haus-style house. The modernization is completed and now it
is about the interior design details. New carpets, furniture and
accessories are proposedly chosen by me in order to assure a uni-
form interior design concept.” She is always looking for new inte-
rior ideas and inspiration in exhibitions such as IMM Cologne or
Light & Building in Frankfurt and admires professionals, such as
Le Corbusier, James Eames, Zaha Hadid, Daniel Libeskind, Axel
Vervoordt, among others.
