Located in Chicago’s Streeterville neighbourhood, GreenRiv-
er is the Michelin-starred restaurant by Danny Meyer’s Union
Square Hospitality Group. Featuring one of the lengthiest out-
door terraces in the whole city, the award-winning venue pro-
vides classical and unobstructed views of Lake Michigan and the
city’s downtown skyline. The menu is conceived by Executive
Chef Aaron Lirette and is intensely based in the Midwestern ap-
proach. It represents Chicago’s culinary past and present, with
a refined twist of modern gastronomy techniques. COVETED
MAGAZINE was completely immersed in GreenRiver’s season-
al flavours and sustainable ingredients, from the sumptuous
entrée, Whitefish Tartine with egg, radishes and celery to the
appetizing main dish, Saffron Spaghetti with Uni Sauce, Clams,
Cherry Tomatoes.
In regards to desserts, the Chocolate Paris Breast is unquestion-
ably an excellent option. Amit Gilad was named head bartend-
er for his diverse background in developing the most creative
and innovative cocktails. GreenRiver recently launched a new
22-cocktails menu, with each cocktail expressing a mouth-wa-
tering narrative. The menu was divided into four mood-driven
categories: Refresh, Contemplate, Indulge, and Savor.
