When we imagine Paris, the reflex of our imaginary never re-
sembles reality. But, in this particular matter, that’s something
positive: the vibrant colours, the constant coming and going, the
intermittent streets and the fragrances that powder the city are
unimaginable and surpass all the hypothetic world of sensations
that we can idealize in our abstract projection.
It’s not unusual to often listening to the eternalized expression
by Audrey Hepburn, “Paris is always a good idea”. Indeed, it is.
This because there are always new things happening in a city
that never stops: either events, either a new coffee or bookstore,
or a new hotel to discover. And that’s when Nolinski shows up,
in an ideal localization, once Ópera completes the backdrop and
respects strictly the street’s name.
There is something magic as soon as we enter on Nolinski. The
imposing façade instigates the more alienated of the transients
and the doorman, with its instantaneously courtesy, conducts
us through the distinguished corridor.
In the reception, we receive the key information and the director
welcomes us warmly, with attention and kindness.
As soon as we climb the elevator until the desired floor and when
the door is open, we realize immediately the attention to the
detail, the conjugation of the majestic corners with a distinct
simplicity and the omnipresent existence of an inenarrable com-
fort. We open the doorways, and the entire city invades us, as if
suddenly it was also part of us. For a moment, even for seconds,
we were Paris itself.
As soon as we recover the feelings still staggering, we realize the
exquisite decoration of the surrounding area, or it wasn’t Jean
Louis Deniot’s signature always present. Decorative objects,
such as a Marshall radio, grab our attention, as well as a per-
sonal welcoming note with Parisian pastry gently displayed. We
couldn’t feel more special.
We also took the chance of experiencing the spa installations,
which are located in the lowest ground.
The scenario is almost indescribable: when we dive in the swim-
ming pool, we are able to see our own reflex in the giant mirror
that covers all the pool. We listen to relaxing music and feel our
five senses awakened in a sort of a mystic oasis. There is also a
comfortable sofa where you can chill.
And now it’s time to refer the great food of Réjane, guaranteed
by Chef Fulvio Pischedda. He always adds Mediterranean co-
lours to his delicacies. We took one ‘Bavette d’Aloyau’, as well
as a delicious goldfish. The wine couldn’t be better as well: we
strongly advise you to take the ‘Pinot Noir’. For dessert, choose
a chocolate pie Tonka. More than a hotel, Nolinski encompasses
an inspiring world of experiences. It is definitely a trendy spot
that you won’t want to miss in your next travel to Paris.
