Description of the project
Apartment in Moscow, 80 m²
When a small apartment falls into the hands of a responsible de-
signer, the first thing he should do is be concerned about the
comfort of the client and be focused on functionality. But if the
owners of the apartments are artistic and easy-going people, al-
ways prepared for any experiments, the designer will not miss
a chance to add some new ideas. Initially, the apartment was
a typical example of “stalinka” (architecture style of the Soviet
Union under the leadership of Joseph Stalin, between 1933 and
1955, associated with the socialist realism school of art and ar-
chitecture): a narrow hallway, a small kitchen, bathroom and
WC separated. During the process of redevelopment, the design-
er used every square meter and the result was a bedroom with
a wardrobe. In the living room, she found the place for a large
dining table, and the corridor lost his area in order to expand to
a spacious bathroom. The owners of the apartment, who often
work at home, also received a personal cabinet.
