HOTELS WE COVET //
Paris Le Faubourg is characterised by a combination of 18th-cen-
tury sophistication with contemporary designs, thus the interi-
ors of the hotel are decorated with a wide variety of furniture
and fabrics made from the finest materials and manifesting orna-
mented patterns and colours.
Coalescing notions of architectural harmony and contrast, upon
entering certain spaces, guests are immediately bestowed to piec-
es of classical traces, such as Louis XV armchairs, minimalist ta-
bles, geometric art styles, and graceful galleries and photographs
depicting muses on the corridors, which give foundation to the
gargantuan influence that fashion has in Paris.
Supporting a cluster of magnificent and awe-inspiring amenities
and accommodations, the hotel features 147 guestrooms and
suites, including the Opera Suite and the Couture Apartment, in
which the architect of interiors, Didier Gomez, created a serene
and intimate setting.
Discriminating a few selected, in the Couture apartment, guests
can benefit from the most astounding views over the roofs of
Paris, which are simply awe-inspiring. The glamorous penthouse
displays a majestic use of colours, from black to ivory, to golden
tones represented in Art Deco style. On another note, the Opera
suite is a reinterpretation of an 18th-century mansion that fea-
tures elements from the contemporary world as well as Haute
couture. The suite is best described for its femininity and sensu-
ous richness, particularly with the glamorous lamps placed be-
side the bed. The bedroom also has a steamy bathroom that can
be separated from the room by golden curtains.
Featuring one of the most astonishing lounges in the world, the
Prestige Suite is renowned for its warm and vivid ambience with
a palette of gold, bronze and gleaming chrome decor. Overall, it
blends a supreme mix of art, fashion and design oozing off mo-
dernity and glamour.
Moving on to the restoration services, the Bar du Faubourg fits
the purpose of a social area. Bedecked with shades of maroon
and gold, multiple fashion photos and refined boudoirs sofas are
strategically placed in order to create the best environment pos-
sible in terms of comfort, while permanently reminiscing over
the 18th-century and Parisian spirit. Designed by Yannick Alléno
with a modern brasserie approach, the restaurant Stay Faubourg
disposes of a wide range of delectable dishes to choose from a
carefully organised menu.
In conclusion, each installation of the Sofitel hotel chain has an
exceptional combination of French art de Vivre and local cus-
toms bursting with haute couture and luxury.
