FEMINISM TRENDS AS INSPIRATION
BY PATRICIA BUSTOS
Patricia Bustos is from Madrid and has always been a very aesthetic
and fashionable person. She’s sensitive to the beauty of architecture
and the art of design and has a strong passion for travelling. And
these are all references that became their signature in her interior
design projects.
In addition, she has an obsession with Maria Antonieta, feminism
and cream colours since she was a child when she already painted walls
to create more feminine rooms. By that time, she used to have posters
of women that inspired her and they still are her work references in the
present days. Some of those references are India Mahdavi, who has always
created different references and trends, and Kelly Wearstler, who is also a
pioneer and a worldwide renowned and respected female designer.
Since I was a child I had been an obsession
with Maria Antonieta, feminism and cream colours.
When I started to decorate my house, even with my
mother, I painted walls to create feminine spaces.
Some of her clients hire her only because of her personal style. Others
prefer to give guidelines that Patricia careful and precisely follows
without setting apart her references and personal style.
It is worth pointing out that even in her free time, Patricia chooses
hobbies related to nature and sports because of the influence they
have on her, since they make her even more creative. Beach, sea and
surf are pure elements that boost her imagination and creativity.
Why? Because Nature is beautiful by itself. And a train station, in
its turn, needs the human hand to become more appealing. And
that’s precisely on that direction that she develops her work: to make
everything aesthetical and visually more appealing for a better and
more beautiful life.
