ANDREW WINCH
WINCH DESIGN
Specialising in interior and exterior yacht design, Andrew Winch started
in Jon Banneberg’s pioneering yacht design studio in 1980 having been
mentored by the legendary designer as a student. After six years, Winch
set out on his own, forming Andrew Winch Designs in 1986 with his
wife, Jane. In 2015 the firm was re-branded as Winch Design.. The
Winch Design Yachts Studio has been established for over 30 years and
is currently led by Jim Dixon.
Alongside interior design and exterior styling for luxury yachts and
yacht refits, Winch Design also has an architecture studio since 2009,
with a team of around 30 architects and interior designers and an
aviation studio that, since 2002, has expanded its portfolio with an
array of aircrafts and helicopters.
When it comes to their work, according to Jim Dixon, the current
Director of Yachts and Aviation at Winch Design, he loves the flexibility
and variation that comes every day with every new challenge they are
handled. They have a habit of nurturing and and developing each of their
client’s individual dreams until it culminates in a final result that can be
seen as a milestone for the team and the client. The team adores seeing
their clients’ reactions.
