EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW
WITH GÉRARD FAIVRE
érard Faivre revolutionized luxury real estate in Paris. His
firm offers prestige apartments fully renovated and ready
to live. One advantage of his job is that the apartments have nev-
er been occupied before. Their interior design makes them true
works of art, while the private home manager service will help
you feel at home right away.
CovetED Magazin: Unique, luxurious and ready-to-live. How
would you explain these concepts?
Gérard Faivre: This is a very important concept for foreign
customers because, when a foreigner buys an apartment in France,
they would like to live there as fast as possible. Normally, a project
has the duration of 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years…and the
price is constantly accumulating. With this concept, when I show
a house to a client, it’s already done. I created this concept because
it is very complicated for a foreigner to buy a house in France and,
with the ready-to-live factor, it’s easier.
CM: How do you plan your projects? Where do you start?
GF: I start looking for the apartments, the houses. Then, I’m
researching the location because the location does the project.
I speak with the location and the location speaks with me. I do
the projects in conformity with its localization. Then, I renew,
I imagine a décor. The difference between me and a decorator is
that a decorator has his own style, it’s always the same in all his
projects. But for me, all the projects are different, always unique.
CM: Is there a common element between all your projects or are
they all different?
GF: Perhaps there are things that are repeated from time to time,
but, how I said, my projects are always quite different. That is my
brand.
CM: What are the main characteristics of the team that works
with you?
GF: I have two architects who always accompany me. They are
working on the project. I ask them to research and then I choose
something that interests me and I invest a lot in the project. They
always accompany me. And that’s the most important feature.
