INTERNATIONAL FURNITURE FAIR
SINGAPORE 2018 - SINGAPORE
The International Furniture Fair Singapore 2018 (IFFS) happened
from 8 to 11 March at the Singapore Expo. The event offered a
supreme outreach to the ever-evolving furniture industry through
a layered experience that not only introduced new technology
and celebrated design but also provided a proper space for business
network opportunities.
This year, the show saw an increase of 25% in exhibitors from India,
who presented an extensive range of high-quality carpets and rugs,
traditional and modern furniture designs and decorative accessories.
Indonesia was also well represented with top design-led brands
that highlighted the best of Indonesian craftsmanship, opening up
a conversation and allowing trade buyers to connect even further.
Exhibitors from France, Japan, Portugal and Turkey all made their
debut this year, while participants from Belgium, China, Hong Kong,
India, Indonesia, Italy, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and
Vietnam continued to deliver a collection of surprises and trends.
Ultimately, all of this diversity has enhanced the fair’s position as an
authentic international trade platform.
BOSTON DESIGN WEEK
BOSTON, MA, USA
Occurring from 4 to 15 April, Boston Design Week (BDW)
is the design event that offers the most impact and visibility
within this region. Celebrating its fifth anniversary, BDW has,
throughout the course of its existence, gathered more than 40,000
individuals. The twelve-day design week aims to increase public
awareness and appreciation of all aspects of design, gathering a
wide variety of design industries and organizations while also
engaging with the robust design community in and around
Boston. Boston Design Week has proudly become a member of
the World Design Weeks, an international coalition that was
created in order to share knowledge, resources and best practices.
BDW comes to join Barcelona, Beijing, Eindhoven, Helsinki,
Mexico, San Francisco, Seoul, Tokyo, Toronto and countless
other international powers. Boston Design Week hosts a series
of events, including the AD20/21 Art & Design and the Boston
Home Decor Show, that offer an extensive range of products,
ideas, projects and inspirations from the home décor, design, fine
art, prints and home design sectors.
