Era il 2005 e la progettista
Patricia Urquiola dichiarava “Ho voluto
rivisitare le tipologie capitonné e
Chesterfield con particolare attenzione
alla rilettura operata negli anni ’60 e ’70
di cui sono grande estimatrice”.
Citando le tipologie Chesterfield e
capitonné, Tufty-Time le attualizza e
le contamina con uno stile di vita più
libero e informale.
Il sistema trova risposte efficaci ai
temi della modularità, del comfort
e della sfoderabilità componendo i
diversi elementi che danno origine a
divani lineari tradizionali, angolari, con
penisole e anche isole che permettono
la seduta a 360 gradi. Il rivestimento
in tessuto o pelle è suddiviso in grandi
quadri, uniti a un fondo piega che nella
versione in pelle è forato.

It was 2005, and the designer
Patricia Urquiola, sand: “I wanted to tare
a new look at capitonné and Chesterfield
styles, with a special reinterpretations of
1960s and 1970s, wich I love”.
An expression of the Chesterfield and
capitonné style, Tufty-Time modernises
them with a free and casual lifestyle.
The system finds effective answers to
the themes of modularity, comfort and
removable covers by forming the various
elements that create traditional linear
sofas, corner sofas, peninsula-shaped
compositions and island elements allowing
360-degree seating. The upholstery
in fabric or leather is subdivided into
large squares that are joined by pleats,
perforated in the leather version.
