Lo studio di Design ROMANI SACCANI ARCHITETTI ASSOCIATI è stato
fondato nel 1999 dalla collaborazione professionale tra gli architetti
Michele Romani e Mauro Saccani, nata già alcuni anni prima nella
condivisione della tesi del corso di Laurea in Architettura al Politecnico
di Milano (1998).
Dopo le prime collaborazioni come freelancers con alcuni studi di
Architettura dell’hinterland milanese indirizzano il loro percorso verso il
design di prodotto sempre più attratti dal mondo del design industriale, sia
del settore illuminotecnico, che del comparto mobile o del complemento
d’arredo.
Ogni loro concept scaturisce da una consapevole rilettura della
memoria del passato e diventa uno stimolo per sfidare omologazioni e
consuetudini con proposte semplici, essenziali, ma mai banali.
Per il brand Carpet Edition la loro collezione d’esordio FOLIAGE esprime,
attraverso l’analisi della forma e degli accostamenti di colore delle
foglie, una loro personale interpretazione “décor and trend” del valore
emozionale associato al susseguirsi delle quattro stagioni.
The Design studio ROMANI SACCANI ARCHITETTI ASSOCIATI was
founded in 1999 by the professional collaboration between the architects
Michele Romani and Mauro Saccani, born a few years earlier in the
sharing of the thesis of the Degree in Architecture at the Politecnico di
Milano (1998).
After the first collaborations as freelancers with some Architecture
studios of the milanese hinterland, they direct their path towards product
design increasingly attracted by the world of industrial design, both in the
lighting sector, and in the mobile sector or in the furnishing accessories
sector.
Every concept stems from a conscious reinterpretation of the memory
of the past and becomes a stimulus to challenge homologations and
customs with simple, essential, but never banal proposals.
For the Carpet Edition brand, their debut collection FOLIAGE expresses,
through the analysis of the shape and color combinations of the leaves,
their personal “décor and trend” interpretation of the emotional value
associated with the succession of the four seasons.
