Perché avete puntato sull’essenzialità?
Perché è garanzia di funzionalità. Lo
abbiamo espresso con l’apertura totale,
ma continuiamo a esprimerlo in ogni modulo.
Il superfluo è un impedimento e gli ingombri
non piacciono a nessuno. Mentre gli spazi
che parlano piacciono a tutti.
Che cosa intendete per modulo apribile?
L’apertura è un tema trasversale nel nostro
sistema, come il contenimento. E così, anche
il pannello che sostiene il televisore si apre
per svelare dietro di sé uno spazio capace di
contenere.
Che cosa lo fa funzionare?
Un meccanismo semplice. Ridotto al minimo,
ma che funziona e dura nel tempo. Perché il
nostro tempo non lo investiamo a ricercare
nuovi componenti, ma a migliorare al
massimo la qualità di quelli che lo fanno
funzionare.

Why did you focus on essentiality?
Because it is a guarantee of functionality. We
have expressed it with total openness, but
we continue to express it in every form. The
superfluous is an impediment and nobody
likes encumbrances. While everyone likes
spaces that speak.
What do you mean by opening module?
Openness is a cross-cutting theme in our
system, as is storage. And so, the panel which
supports the tv also opens to reveal a storage
space behind it.
What makes it work?
A simple mechanism. Minimized, but which
works and lasts over time. Because we
don’t invest our time in researching new
components, but in improving to the utmost
the quality of those that make them work.
