Building on the penetrating-form concept of the Capsula light (Brokis 2013), the futuristic bell-shaped MONA exemplifies a sensitive beauty found only in smooth glass and soft curves. The LED light source daringly pierces the delicate body of the lamp and illuminates the design’s thrilling tension, while the artist’s distinctive style is reflected in the unexpected combination of materials, generous dimensions, and precise craftsmanship. Mona collection consists from pendant, floor, wall and table lamp.
Combined craftsmanship / hand-blown glass in combination with oak and metal body. The craftsmanship applied in production follows in the centuries-old tradition and experience of master glassmakers. The precision crafting of hand-blown glass instills distinctive, enduring character and outstanding quality in all Brokis products. The glass shades are formed from multiple layers of molten glass, each of which is scrutinized by the master glassmaker prior to being blown into the mold. Up to 70% of the resulting quality is achieved in this stage of production.
