The development of individual colors for the panels was a complex and lengthy process. The
designers continuously observed and evaluated how the pattern and structure of the shards
arranged in the glass furnace appeared after melting. After many trials, Studio DECHEM
perfected three colors that can be beautifully combined in lighting designs or stand alone as
visually strong elements.
Curated Colors by Studio DECHEM
Each Fragmentglass panel is carefully assembled by stacking glass shards into a melting mold following
DECHEM Studio’s precise recipe. The final result of each Fragmentglass plates carries an element of
surprise as the melting process itself cannot be controlled.
