Shielded wall luminaires illuminate ground surfaces
in front of walls. They simultaneously illuminate and
accentuate the installation surface and its structure.
They can be arranged individually, in rows or as
a group. Some luminaires with shielded light are
available with both one-sided and two-sided light
emission.
Indirect glare-free light
When it comes to wall luminaires with shielded
light, the desired light effect plays a decisive role.
In contrast to unshielded wall luminaires, whose
luminaire bodies are in focus at night, shielded wall
luminaires are restricted to their indirect glare-
free light effect, and thus draw attention to the
architecture and the surroundings rather than the
luminaires themselves.
Different installation heights
Wall luminaires with shielded light are suitable for
installation at various heights. They can be used
in many ways: as location luminaires, for accent
lighting or for wide-area illumination.
A single luminaire placed at a low height serves to
highlight hazardous points, while a row of installed
luminaires provides uniform illumination in corridors
and along paths. Installation at greater heights
enables glare-free illumination of wall surfaces.
Low installation costs
The work involved in installing wall luminaires is
significantly less than for recessed wall luminaires.
However, the overhang of the selected luminaire
must be taken into consideration when planning.
