Permanent floodlights
These efficient floodlights are available in symmetrical wide beam or
symmetrical very wide beam light distribution and are thus suitable
for a variety of lighting applications. These include either more focused
lighting with a small half beam angle, that is, wide beam light distribution,
or more wide-area lighting with a large half beam angle, i.e. very wide
beam light distribution. Islands of light are just as achievable as lighting
for building or garden details.

The half beam angle β describes the size of the light cone with which an object or surface is actually illuminated.
Luminaires with wider half beam angles should be chosen for short lighting distances, a focused light is recommended for larger distances.
