Christophe Gevers (1928-2007) His oeuvre manifests itself in almost the entire
interior landscape, ranging from total offering for restaurants, shops and private
assignments to designing individual objects for the industr y.
His designs came from scale model to finished product in his studio, where
he preferred natural materials that he managed to work as a true craftsman.
The combination of his long experience, spread over the entire design sector
and his extraordinar y knowledge of materials, which he managed to implement
in a contemporar y and idiosyncratic design, makes Christophe Gevers
a (forgotten) master who deser ves a legitimate place in the histor y of Belgian
design in the 20th centur y.
