atmosphere taking inspiration
from the design of intertwined
wicker baskets. The alternance
of shiny (acetate) and matt
(cotton) fibers add depth to
the design, recalling the look of
sea waves. The color palette is

The yarns of the warp of
Palermo are particularly thick,
and are weaved with viscose
chenille wefts thanks to a
special technique (an exclusive
for Armani/Casa): the chenille is
“caged” by the other yarns - so
that its pile becomes invisible -
but gives the fabric a smooth
and pleasant hand. The high
density of linen results also in
a very resistant fabric (80’000
Martindale). The mélange effect
of some colors is given by the
dying process carried out on
the single yarns, which also
feature typical “knots” due to
their thickness and the mix of
fibers they contain.
