LIPARI

Lipari is the largest of the Aeolian islands, seven gems sprinkled
in the blue of the Mediterranean Sea and located not far from
the shores of Sicily. The name of the island echoes its beauty
and the richness, coming from the ancient Greek Lipàra, which
means “fruitful”. For its prominent position in the archipelago,
the wallcovering featuring one of the most iconic designs of the
Armani style, the shagreen texture, has been named after this
island.

PANTELLERIA

One of Giorgio Armani’s favorite islands, Pantelleria was known in
the past as “Daughter of the Winds” because of the strong breeze
always blowing. The wild landscapes of the island are studded with
typical constructions called panteschi gardens, cylinders made
with stone blocks to protect the citrus trees. These two sides of
Pantelleria are reflected in the wallcovering of the same name,
where an irregular design recalls the stone effect on a background
imitating the waves the wind creates on the surface of the sea.
