Family and company are emotive words for us. This small
company is a family business with a heritage to live up to
and a future that must grow from the core.
Our best-known 1930s Original 1227™ design puts
function first and endures as our signature product. Putting
light where it’s needed is what we do best and remains our
primary focus. With its classic shade shape and extended
applications, our heritage Original Range is now an all-
encompassing offer, while our modernist Type Range
performs just as well for those who prefer a contemporary
aesthetic.
Times are changing and we must change too. Some live in
micro homes, others live in lofts. Open workspaces are now
the norm and many of us work from home. Gardens and
terraces have become premium living spaces, furnished
just like our interiors. So, we’ve created an extended range
of triple scale Giant lights including lights for outdoors,
also ranges of Mini lights down-scaled to two-thirds their
original size. And last Autumn we scaled down even further
when we launched our first USB powered 90 Mini Mini light,
a half-scale iteration of a design from our archive.
And that’s not all. Later in 2019 we launched a smart new
color with designer Margaret Howell, launched a fourth
collaboration with Paul Smith that’s inspired by the Land
Rover Defender, and introduced the all-new Sir Kenneth
Grange-designed Type 80™ collection.
