Waiting is often an opportunity to get on with private or
interpersonal business. According to the Alias philosophy, waiting
areas, more than any other type of space, need to reflect the concept
of work in progress, rather than serve as mere places in which to
hang about. Manzù, the iconic armchair by the eponymous designer
Pio Manzù, expresses a pronounced aerodynamic form, while
continuing to be an up-to-the-minute interpretation of the frenetic
pace of contemporary society.
