Year
Archetypal shapes with architectural geometry were the inspiration for these historical masterpieces,
designed by the great contemporary Ticino architect Mario Botta for the interiors of some of his famous
buildings. The Prima and Seconda chairs are classics in Alias catalogue, true icons of Made in Italy design.
The two chairs originate from the same geometric base with an inversion in the constructive logic. The Prima,
constructed back to front, differs from the Seconda, which becomes an armchair with the extension of the two
vertical elements and the addition of armrests.
Forme archetipiche della geometria ispirano questi storici masterpiece, progettati dal grande architetto
ticinese Mario Botta per gli interni di alcune note architetture. Le sedie Prima e Seconda sono dei classici
del catalogo Alias, vere e proprie icone del design made in Italy. Le due sedute nascono dalla stessa base
geometrica con un'inversione nella logica costruttiva che procede dalla veduta posteriore a quella frontale nel
caso della Prima. La Seconda invece estende i due elementi verticali e con l'aggiunta dei braccioli diventa una
poltroncina.
