LIRA is the first seating collection designed for Alias by the Scandinavian designer Daniel Rybakken for
Alias. It is the result of a meticulous design process in which a strong, minimalist character is combined
with unexpected comfort, guaranteed by the deep curvature of the seat. The geometric silhouette that
characterises the whole collection is counterbalanced by the natural materials used; Lira is made out of solid
ash wood with elements in curved ash wood, available in a natural finish or in coloured stains. The chair and
the stools are supported by steel feet lacquered in different colours, in textured or gloss finishes.
With Lira, Daniel Rybakken aims to create an essential collection with an iconic silhouette.
LIRA è la prima collezione di sedute firmata dal designer scandinavo Daniel Rybakken per Alias. È il risultato
di un processo di design curato nei minimi dettagli, dove il carattere forte e minimale si unisce a un comfort
inaspettato, garantito dalla profonda curvatura della seduta.
La silhouette geometrica che contraddistingue l’intera collezione è controbilanciata dalla naturalezza dei
materiali utilizzati; Lira è realizzata in legno massello di frassino con elementi in legno di frassino curvato,
proposta con finitura naturale o laccata a poro aperto. La sedia e gli sgabelli sono sostenuti da piedi in acciaio
verniciato in diversi colori, nelle varianti goffrato o lucido. Con Lira, Daniel Rybakken si è posto l’obiettivo di
creare una collezione essenziale, dalla silhouette iconica.
