The utmost expression of technology applied to design, LALEGGERA is a chair collection that conceals the
meeting between solid wood, a traditional material, and the modern light expanded polyurethane that fills
the structure. The covering in different wood veneers or strips of multilaminate veneer is available with a
transparent varnish finish or lacquer in various colours.
In 1998 Laleggera chair was awarded the Compasso d'Oro ADI prize and in 2009 it became part of the
permanent collection of the MoMA in New York, rightfully entering the history of design.
Massima espressione di tecnologia applicata al design, LALEGGERA è una collezione di sedute che nasce
dell’incontro tra un solido materiale della tradizione, il legno massello, e il più contemporaneo e leggero
poliuretano espanso di cui la struttura è riempita. Il rivestimento in piallacci di legno o in tranciato di legno
multilaminare, è rifinito con verniciatura trasparente o laccatura in vari colori. Nel 1998 Laleggera chair è stata
insignita del premio Compasso d'Oro ADI e nel 2009 ha fatto il suo ingresso nella collezione permanente del
MoMA di New York, entrando di diritto nella storia del design.
