The ATLAS TABLE collection by Jasper Morrison reflects his philosophy of essential and timeless design.
The tapered steel leg, a distinctive element of the entire project, was inspired by an optical illusion observed
by the designer in a bar in Vienna on a sunny morning: the shadow of the table top cast on the leg created
the effect of a thicker volume in the upper part and a thinner one at the bottom. This play of light became the
conceptual starting point for the design of Atlas structure. Atlas tables, offered in multiple, are distinguished
by their simple lines and attention to detail. Through Atlas table Morrison creates a discreet and versatile
collection that fits with balance into the most diverse contexts.

La gamba in acciaio conificato, elemento distintivo del progetto, trae ispirazione da un’illusione ottica
osservata dal designer in un bar a Vienna durante una mattina di sole: l’ombra del piano proiettata sulla gamba
creava l’effetto di un volume più spesso in alto e più sottile in basso. Questo gioco di luci è diventato il punto
di partenza concettuale per il design della struttura di Atlas. I tavoli Atlas, proposti in numerose varianti, si
distinguono per la semplicità delle linee e l’attenzione ai dettagli. Con Atlas table, Morrison dà forma ad una
collezione discreta e versatile che si inserisce con equilibrio nei contesti più diversi.
