Villa Farsetti: commissioned in the mid-17th
century by the noble, enlightened Venetian
abbot Filippo Farsetti, the villa’s exquisite
architectural design reflects an adoration of
the timeless harmony of the ancient world
and the pomp and magnificence of the
French Rococo style.
Cedars and botanical gardens, labyrinths
and fountains, ancient Roman columns in
marble and granite and Doric capitals, Vene-
tian stuccoes and floors: every detail of the
villa and its splendid gardens expresses the
