A collection of glasses and bottles designed by Marta
Giardini, in blown glass crafted by hand using the most
refined glassmaking techniques of Murano. The mineral
colors are enhanced by silver leaf or a rigadin finish. The
simple archetypal forms take on emphasis at times thanks
to the incalmo technique that permits hot joining of
parts of two different colors and shapes, with completely
freehand workmanship. The collection takes its cue from
the costumes of the Triadic Ballet by Oskar Schlemmer,
reinterpreted in a precious contemporary tone.
Collezione di bicchieri e bottiglie, soffiati a bocca e lavorati
artigianalmente utilizzando le tecniche più raffinate della
lavorazione del vetro di Murano. I colori minerali sono
arricchiti con foglia d’argento o tramite la finitura ‘rigadin’.
Le forme semplici archetipe si fanno a volte più definite
grazie alla tecnica dell’encalmo che consente di unire a
caldo due parti differenti per colore e per forma in una
lavorazione completamente a mano libera. La collezione è
ispirata ai costumi del balletto triatico di Oskar Schlemmer
reinterpretata in una chiave preziosa contemporanea.
