Woods
Exteta uses only solid wood. Cracks and fiber
movements are distinctive signs of uniqueness and
quality, the purest expression of the fascinating
nature of wood. Exteta exclusively uses FSC
certified timber, and only trees that are replanted
are selected.
MAHOGANY
Incredible colors and veins: the only quality of
mahogany used by Exteta is Sapelli which has the
most refined range from shades of yellow to shades
of red.
Natural preservative: thanks to its high density,
Sapelli mahogany is difficult for pests to attack and
is very resistant to accidental impacts.
Its traditional use in the nautical field demonstrates
its application potential. Sapelli mahogany is a
wood with one of the highest stability index in
nature.
Aging: over the years, Sapelli mahogany’s natural
color will turn into a fascinating silvery grey.
The mode and speed of this process can vary
significantly depending on the environmental
conditions that the material is exposed to.
These changes are exclusively aesthetic,
without affecting its durability.
BARRIQUE
Barrique is achieved thanks to an oxidative process
that gives the mahogany its beautifully intense
brown color.
LUCIDO MEDITERRANEO
Lucido Mediterraneo is the technique of applying a
glossy varnish in 11 steps to make the mahogany
extremely resistant in the outdoors, the best
option for the marine environment. The Lucido
Mediterraneo is brilliant to the eye and silky to the
touch.
INDIGO
Exteta uses only solid Harborica® wood. The solid
wood is entirely saturated through an autoclaving
process, thus undergoing a processing cycle
05 — Red Cedar
03 — Lucido Mediterraneo
01 — Mahogany
04 — Indigo Wood
02 — Barrique
that totally transforms the color and leaves
the structure unaltered. To increase the durability of
the material, a specific product that enters the
lymphatic vessels throughout the mass and makes
it remarkably resistant to weathering is added.
The result is one of a kind material: a dark grey
wood with blue reflections.
Natural preservative: thanks to the high
performance treatment, Indigo acquires very high
durability and resistance.
RED CEDAR
Exteta uses only 2 Clear, WFP selected Canadian
red cedar.
Colors and veins: the natural color of freshly cut red
cedar is a warm copper, with shades ranging from
yellow, to beige, to pink, to violet and veins that
intensely vary even in the same sourced plant.
Natural preservative: the Canadian red cedar is the
most durable wood in the world. Its fibers contain
natural preservatives that diffuse a pleasant and
characteristic fragrance that repels insects and
mold, making it unassailable by bacteria. The plant’s
ability to produce these agents increases over time.
The Canadian red cedar lasts decades, even in
harsh environments.
