1919 saw the beginning of a small artisan workshop manufacturing chairs, founded by Domenico Potocco and his Sons. Today Potocco S.p.A. is one of the most important chairs-producers in Italy and abroad. Its technological plants grant large quantities and very high quality products.

In april 2015 the company conveys the merger of the brand Potocco, characterized by a classical and formal style, and Accademia, definitely more minimalist: aiming indeed at realizing furniture collections through which effectively becoming a real style pioneer, it brings life to “Potocco Italy”, a unique trademark characterized by products that allow to recreate fresh and contemporary settings.

Some of the latest and important realizations are the Gallia hotel in Milan, the Marriot in Frankfurt, the Sheraton in Zurich and the branches of the Credit Suisse in Switzerland. The passion and commitment that Potocco has always been dedicating to its activities have been recognized with several awards such as the "Triangolo d’oro" (best chair producer within the italian chair district) and, on the occasion of the economic progress award ceremony announced by chamber of commerce of Udine, for the outstanding quality of its products as well as for its en-trepreneurial dynamism. Moreover, in 2011 Potocco has been awarded for its 50th participation at the International furniture fair in Milan, honouring its steady and constant presence since the first edition.
