we fight for lighting solutions that are one thing above
all: unique. Where do we get our inspiration from?

FROM BELGIUM WITH LOVE
Every story needs a beginning. Ours starts in the early
eighties, when a handful of young Belgians decided
to found a new lighting company. So far, so good. But
what should the company's name be? As Belgium
has several official languages, including Flemish and
French, there was only one option: the name had to be
phonetically at home in both worlds. Then, by chance,
the company founders came across a document: a
small guide to a successful life. Its advice: hard work
(WErklust), trust (VERtrouwen), enthusiasm (ENthou-
siasme), coupled with courage (DUrf) and a healthy
dose of creativity (CREativiteit). These five points still
form our company philosophy today.
