Lo scintillio e lo stile della New York
anni ‘20 rivivono in questo living,
che sembra uscito dalle pagine
di un romanzo di F.S.Fitzgerald. Berry
è caratterizzato dai classici colori bianco,
nero e oro e dall’intarsio di materiali
diversi e preziosi. Il divano e le poltrone
in nabuk chiaro capitonné sono racchiusi
in una cornice scura leggermente svasata
di ebano lucido e pelle opaca lavorata
a effetto coccodrillo. Fra le due parti,
corre un profilo geometrico in metallo
dorato che sottolinea le due diverse
finiture. La preziosa, delicata bellezza
della donna-libellula in cammeo, smalto
e Swarovski, un tributo gioiello in stile
Lalique poggiato sulla parete, si collega
visivamente alla preziosa lavorazione
dei tavolini Donald in marmo nero
marquinia e bianco carrara; vere e proprie
opere d’arte artigianali, a forma conica
e decorazioni a ventaglio di diverse
dimensioni, tipiche del periodo, incise
in bassorilievo e poi dipinte a mano.
Gli stessi motivi sono ripresi dal grande
tappeto geometrico mentre le librerie
a colonna in vetro inciso e lo specchio
fumé dànno l’ultimo tocco a una stanza
che sembra solo attendere l’ingresso
degli invitati per dare inizio a un party
in puro stile “Great Gatsby”.

The sparkling lights and the New York
Twenties style are back in this living room
which seems to have escaped from the pages
of a F.S. Fitzgerald novel.
Berry is characterized by a classic color
combination of white, black and gold
with inserts of various and precious materials.
The couch and armchairs in padded light
color Nubuk are enclosed in a slightly flared
dark frame made of ebony and matt leather
with a crocodile effect. The two parts are
divided by a geometric gold metal profile,
underlining the different finishes.
Resting on the wall there is a precious
and delicate woman-dragonfly in cameo,
enamel and Swarovski crystals, as a tribute
to Lalique and its beautiful style.
This work of art visually matches the precious
workmanship of the Donald coffee tables
in black Marquina and white Carrara marble.
Cone shaped masterpieces, enriched
with typical decorations of that period:
fan-shaped hand painted low relieves
in different sizes.
The same pattern can also be found
in the large-size geometric carpet,
while the column bookcases in engraved
glass and the smoked mirror, are the last
touch for a room that seems just to be
waiting for its guests to arrive, to start
a real “Great Gatsby” style party.
