“Mappamondi lamps focus on the contrast between bronze
and glass. The bronze embodies the manual, plastic work of
the sculptor, while the glass acquires its form through the
movement and breath of the master glass blower.
The terrestrial bronze and ethereal glass combine to
symbolise the primordial creation at the origin of matter,
light and the world.”
