Tappeto Volante è concepito per poter
realizzare
superfici
luminose
sospese
mediante l’uso di vetri a nastro. I vetri sono
fissati su una struttura metallica flessibile,
ancorata al soffitto mediante cavi d’acciaio.
Le varianti quanto a forma, curvatura e
lunghezza
sono
potenzialmente
infinite.
Un esempio di questa sospensione, di
notevole impatto grazie alla sua originalità
nonostante l’effetto di inusuale leggerezza,
è conservato al Museo Venini a Murano.
Tappeto Volante è declinato nelle versioni con
modulo rigido, dove la curvatura è predefinita,
e con struttura flessibile, in cui le curvature
sono invece modulabili.
Tappeto Volante was conceived to create
suspended luminous surfaces using the glass
“Nastro” elements. The glass elements are fas-
tened to a flexible metal structure, anchored
to the ceiling by means of steel cables There
are infinite possibilities for varying the shape,
curvature, and length. An example of this
sort of lighting fixture, striking in appearance
thanks to its originality, and despite the
effect of uncommon weightlessness, is
conserved at the Museo Venini in Murano.
Tappeto Volante is available in versions with
a rigid module, where the curvature is prede-
fined, and with a flexible structure, in which
the curvatures are adjustable.
