Supriya Mankad e Alessandro Isola, fondatori dello
studio I M Lab, si sono laureati nel 2003 presso la
Architectural Association di Londra e hanno collaborato
con il famoso studio di architettura Foster + Partners,
prima di avviare la loro attività nel 2008. La loro
esperienza spazia dal design di prodotto e di mobili di
piccole dimensioni alla progettazione di edifici su larga
scala. I due architetti condividono l’interesse per la
ricerca e la sperimentazione con tecniche e materiali,
reinventandosi sempre nello sviluppo di prodotti e spazi.
Nel 2011 hanno collaborato con Venini progettando
Rhythm, lampadari modulari in vetro soffiato dentro una
gabbia metallica.
Supriya Mankad and Alessandro Isola, founders of I M Lab,
graduated in 2003 from the Architectural Association in
London and then collaborated with the famous architectural
firm Foster + Partners, before starting their own business in
2008.
Their experience ranges from the design of small products
and furniture to large scale building plans.
The two architects share an interest in research and
experimentation with techniques and materials, ever
reinventing themselves in the development of new products
and spaces. In 2011 they partnered with Venini to design the
“Rhythm”, modular ceiling lighting fixtures in blown glass
inside a metal cage.

Francesco Lucchese
Francesco Lucchese (1960), consegue la laurea in
Architettura presso il Politecnico di Milano nel 1985
e riceve, ad inizio carriera, il primo premio ADI con il
progetto di sedia pieghevole “Traslazione”, presentato
per il Gruppo Industriale Busnelli. Nel 1985 fonda lo
studio Lucchese Design che si occupa di progetti di
architettura, interior e product design in tutto il mondo.
Ha realizzato numerosi progetti di arredo urbano, la
ristrutturazione di un museo agricolo, il progetto di un
asilo, numerosi interventi di arredo urbano, il multisala
Cineplex e l’Hotel Les Fleurs a Sofia in Bulgaria.
Numerosi i progetti di residenze private esclusive e di
showroom in Italia e all’estero, tra cui quelli a Mosca,
San Paolo e recentemente a Shanghai. All’attività di
docenza presso l’Accademia di Brera segue quella
presso la Facoltà di Design al Politecnico di Milano.
Nell’ambito del design collabora con aziende come
Cappellini, Foscarini, Swan, Fontana Arte, Egoluce,
Fir Italia, Hatria, Rapsel, Fabbian, Molteni, Antrax,
Mosaico+.
Nel 2020 ha ricevuto il premio Compasso d’Oro e
la Menzione d’Onore. Dal 1992 collabora con Venini
disegnando oggetti e lampade e proprio l’illuminazione
è diventata, negli anni, il fulcro della sua attività di
designer.
Francesco Lucchese (1960), graduated in Architecture at the
Politecnico di Milano in 1985 and received, at the beginning
of his career, the first ADI prize with the “Traslazione” folding
chair project, presented for the Busnelli Industrial Group.
In 1985 he founded the Lucchese Design studio which deals
with architecture, interior and product design projects all
over the world He has carried out numerous street furniture
projects, the renovation of an agricultural museum, the
design for a kindergarten, and the Cineplex movie theatre
and the Hotel Les Fleurs in Sofia, Bulgaria.
There have been numerous projects for exclusive private
residences and showrooms in Italy and abroad, including
those in Moscow, São Paulo, and recently in Shanghai.
His teaching activity at the Brera Academy was followed by
that at the Faculty of Design at the Milan Polytechnic.
In the field of design, he collaborates with such companies
as Cappellini, Foscarini, Swan, Fontana Arte, Egoluce, Fir
Italia, Hatria, Rapsel, Fabbian, Molteni, Antrax, Mosaico.
In 2020 he received the Compasso d’Oro award and an
Honourable Mention. Since 1992 he has collaborated with
Venini designing objects and lamps, and over the years
lighting has become the focus of his activity as a designer.
