“The name Chain comes from the idea of conveying the image of a roll of fabric, which is divided into equal-
ly sized sections and ‘unrolled’ along the perimeter of the backrest,” explain the designers. This notion of a neat, regular modu-
lar rhythm is the distinctive visual feature of the new design for Twils.
The concept of comfort takes shape in the rising and falling upholstery of the backrest, which brings linear
order while also adding vibrancy. Despite its sculpturesque appearance, Chain conjures up images of people sitting around free-
ly, in an informal, easy-going atmosphere.
