Disegnata nel 1992 da Achille
Castiglioni, Polet presenta una
struttura in faggio massello con
un giunto in ottone che ne per-
mette la reclinabilità in quattro
diverse posizioni.
L’idea di farne una riedi-
zione da parte di Twils nasce
nel 2020, ancora in pieno lock-
down, dal dialogo tra Giovanna
Castiglioni, voce narrante e fon-
datrice col fratello Carlo della
Fondazione Achille Castiglioni
dedicata a suo padre, e Matteo
Ragni, art director di Twils.
Li abbiamo incontrati,
insieme a Vilma Carnieletto e
Carlo Pancino, rispettivamen-
te co-titolare e direttore della
comunicazione e product ma-
nager di Twils, per farci raccon-
tare il dietro le quinte di questo
lavoro.

armchair that can also be a bed.
Designed in 1992 by Achille
Castiglioni, Polet has a struc-
ture in solid beech with a brass
joint offering four different re-
clined positions.
The idea of Twils mak-
ing a new edition of Polet came
about in 2020, during lock-
down, from a conversation be-
tween Giovanna Castiglioni,
narrator and founder alongside
her brother Carlo of the Achille
Castiglioni Foundation dedi-
cated to her father, and Mat-
teo Ragni, art director of Twils.
We met them, together
with Vilma Carnieletto and Car-
lo Pancino – co-owner and di-
rector of communications and
product manager of Twils – to
hear what when on behind the
scenes for this work.
