Von einem Flohmarkt in Paris stammt diese um 1930 enstandene
Leuchte, deren Designer uns leider nicht bekannt ist.
Die opale Glaskugel ruht auf einer verchromten Schale, die von
drei Messing- oder Chromkugeln getragen wird.
This lamp from around 1930 comes from a flea market in Paris,
the designer of which we unfortunately do not know. The opal glass
ball rests on a chrome-plated bowl supported by three brass or
chrome balls.

Diese „Lampe de Travail“ ist 1930 in verschiedenen sich ähnelnden
Ausführungen entstanden und war als Arbeitsleuchte in Büros sehr
verbreitet. Der offene, blütenkelchförmige Opalglasschirm verteilt
das Licht weich im Raum. Eine ähnliche Leuchte befindet sich
in der ständigen Ausstellung der Formsammlung des Centre Pompidou
in Paris.
This „Lamp de Travail“ was created in 1930 in various similar
designs and was very common as work lighting in offices. The open,
calyx-shaped opal glass shade distributes the light softly in
the room. A similar lamp is in the permanent exhibition of the design
collection of the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
