Wilhelm Wagenfeld, 1930
Als Leiter der Metallwerkstatt der Staatlichen Bauhochschule Weimar, einer
Nachfolgeinstitution des Bauhauses, und kurz vor der Auflösung dieser
Schule durch die Nationalsozialisten im Jahre 1930 schuf Wilhelm Wagen-
feld diese Stehleuchte mit Stoffschirm.
As head of the metal workshop of the Staatliche Bauhochschule Weimar,
a successor institution of the Bauhaus, and shortly before the school was
closed by the National Socialists in 1930, Wilhelm Wagenfeld created this
floor lamp with a fabric shade.

Édouard-Wilfrid Buquet, 1927
Am 9. Februar 1927 um genau 16:29 Uhr meldete Édouard-Wilfrid Buquet beim
französischen Ministerium für Wirtschaft und Industrie in Paris Teile der
EB 27 zum Patent an. Vor allem die Gelenke waren damals eine absolute Neu-
heit. Bis in die 1940er-Jahre produzierte Buquet verschiedene Ausführungen,
die weltweite Aufmerksamkeit genossen.
On February 9, 1927 at exactly 4:29 p.m., Édouard-Wilfrid Buquet applied
for a patent for parts of the EB 27 at the French Ministry of Economy and
Industry in Paris. The joints in particular were an absolute novelty at the
time. Up until the 1940s, Buquet produced various versions that received
worldwide attention.
