Diese Stehleuchte von 1923 lässt klar den prägenden Stil der Bauhaus-Ära
erkennen. Klare Formen und Linien treffen hier auf eine hohe Funktionalität
und auf raffinierte Details. So schlicht die DSL 23 auch wirken mag –
sie ist dank der nahezu frei schwebenden Aufhängung des Leuchtenkopfes
äußerst elegant und ein echter Hingucker.
This floor lamp from 1923 clearly shows the formative style of the Bauhaus
era. Clear shapes and lines meet a high level of functionality and sophisticated
details. As simple as the DSL 23 may appear, it is extremely elegant and
a real eye-catcher thanks to the almost free-floating suspension of the lamp
head.

Wer die skulptural wirkende Leuchte um 1923 entworfen hat, ist unbekannt.
Ihre spielerische Form und ihre Aura der Beweglichkeit erinnern ebenso an
Oskar Schlemmers Figuren des triadischen Balletts wie an Marianne Brandts
klare und grazile Leuchtenentwürfe. Heute setzt die BH 23 in anspruchsvoll
gestalteten Räumen einen kunstbejahenden Akzent.
It is unknown who designed the sculptural lamp. Its playful shape and
its aura of agility are reminiscent of Oskar Schlemmer’s figures of triadic
ballet as well as Marianne Brandt’s clear and graceful lighting designs.
Today the BH 23 sets an art-affirming accent in sophisticatedly designed
rooms.
