Diese Bodenleuchte ist im Grunde genommen eine Lichtskulptur.
Der Designer ließ sich bei diesem Entwurf von 1986 von der ägyptischen
Hochkultur inspirieren. Das „östliche Auge“ war im Alten Ägypten bildhafter
Ausdruck für die Sonnenscheibe der Sonnengötter und galt als ein
Symbol, das alles Unheil abwehren konnte. Der Leuchtenkorpus wird aus
Marmor hergestellt. Die Leuchte erzeugt dank einer speziellen Linsenoptik
einzigartig schöne Lichteffekte.
This floor lamp is basically a light sculpture. With this design from 1986,
the designer oriented himself towards the Egyptian high culture. In
ancient Egypt, the “eastern eye” was a pictorial expression for the sun
disk of the sun gods and was considered a symbol that could ward off all
calamities. The luminaire body is made of marble. The lamp creates
uniquely beautiful lighting effects thanks to a special lens optic.
