I was delighted and surprised by Riva’s stubborn and justifiable aim to decontextualise materials, to suggest a new use for them. Prehistoric trees or Venetian briccole are recovered from unexpected sources and given a new life.
Oak is a table expressing a synthesis of the constructional elements used in architecture. This is the concept and it the concrete form of four columns of variable shape support a rust-coloured iron top.
