Mondana is a seat in solid cedar wood, design by AMeBE (Alessandra Mantovani and Eleonora Barbareschi), inspired to a daily used object beloved by women, the bag.
Visually removed from its natural context and combines together with an unusual element such as wood, it’s intended as a homage to Pop Art and represents a nowadays icon.
From the great attention to details takes shape an accurate and authentic reproduction of the original object created by using another material.
The monolith wood block is curved into sinuous bends following the typical shape of a leather bag, beside two lather handles apply through metal studs complete the wood bag.
This stool combines functionality and aesthetics, suitable for residential or lounge contest, by giving the ambience a touch of creativity union of design and art.
Newborn among the stool’s family branded Riva 1920, it has been made throughout the use of a raw trunk’s section carved with advanced technology machinery and then sanded and hand-finished.
These logs, coming from North Italy, fallen as the result of natural events or cut down as part of a felling programme are retrieved and turn into environmentally-friendly furniture elements respecting company philosophy, aimed to ecosystem safeguard and forest conservation.
