Il Riva1920 Design Awards è un concorso internazionale di idee nato per promuovere la creatività di giovani
designer e professionisti da tutto il mondo. Ogni edizione, 10 in totale, lancia una nuova sfida progettuale,
invitando i partecipanti a interpretare il legno massello con originalità, funzionalità e rispetto per la materia.
Un’occasione unica per trasformare un’idea in un oggetto iconico, all’insegna della sostenibilità e dell’eccellenza
artigianale firmata Riva1920.
Dal 2014 sono stati diversi i concorsi promossi dall’azienda e ciascuno con un tema di progettazione specifico;
iniziando con i progetti dedicati al tavolo, poi letto, sgabello o panca, sedia, credenza, oggetti, cucina, pinetto e
il 9°, ultimo, dedicato a tavolo e panca per outdoor.
Da settembre 2025 si è ufficialmente aperto il 10° Design Awards, dedicato alla progettazione di mobili
contenitori in legno massello, dove funzionalità, sostenibilità ed estetica si fondono con la maestria artigianale

Light Up Your Idea
The Riva1920 Design Awards is an international competition of ideas created to promote the creativity of young
designers and professionals from around the world. Each edition, 10 in total, launches a new design challenge,
inviting participants to interpret solid wood with originality, functionality and respect for the material. A unique
opportunity to transform an idea into an iconic object, in the name of sustainability and the craftsmanship
excellence of Riva1920.
Since 2014, the company has promoted several competitions, each with a specific design theme, starting with
projects dedicated to tables, then beds, stools or benches, chairs, sideboards, objects, kitchens, small Xmas
tree and, the ninth and most recent , dedicated to outdoor tables and benches.
In September 2025, the tenth edition of the Design Award has been officially launched, dedicated to the design
of solid wood storage furniture, where functionality, sustainability and aesthetics merge with craftsmanship
