When choosing your beautiful lampshade, have a think about
the lining. Our trademark Cream Card provides a subtle glow but
needn’t be the only option.
Elegant Champagne Card emits a warm light, and limits the
contrast between outer and lining colours. It works very well with
both Gold and Silver painted finishes.
Gold and Silver card both block out the light through the body
of the shade, and bounce the light around the inside of the shade
and above and below. Gold has a rich and warm colouring, with
Silver providing a cooler, more contemporary light.
Silk or Satin linings are a lovely way to customise design and
offer a softer alternative to card linings. It’s easy to create
another layer of drama, impact or flair by changing the character
of the light. From bright and practical to muted and atmospheric,
all our fabrics can be interchanged between inner linings and
external fabrics. Amongst our favourites are Manilla silk for its
soft warmth and Wolf silk for its subtle, understated elegance,
versatile enough to use with both linens and silk.
