nel 2008, Bohemian è una famiglia di
prodotti costituita da divani, poltrone
e chaise longue che interpretano
in modo originale il capitonné. Senza
trasgredire la geometria, la lavorazione
è immaginata come un rivestimento
liquido che, sciogliendosi sulla struttura
portante della seduta, sia in grado
di addolcirne i tratti e renderla, con un
movimento quasi casuale, più avvolgente
e confortevole. Una piacevole
deformazione che mantiene il fascino
manifatturiero attraverso l’utilizzo
di bottoni automatici che, rendendo
sfoderabile il rivestimento, ne
rivoluzionano il concetto.
Designed by Patricia Urquiola
in 2008, Bohemian is a line of products
that includes sofas, an armchair and
a chaise longue that gives a new spin
on button tufting. Without forgoing the
geometry, the upholstery of this range
appears to be almost liquid in shape, as
if melting over the frame to create soft,
comforting, almost casual lines.
It is a pleasing deformation that retains
the manufacturing allure with buttons
that, when pressed, make the fabric
removable, revolutionising the concept.
