Annabel Karim Kassar è una designer e
architetto franco-libanese. Ha frequentato la scuola
di architettura presso l’École des Beaux-Arts di Parigi,
dove ha ottenuto il diploma DPLG. È fondatrice di
AKK Architects, uno studio con sedi a Beirut, Dubai
e Londra che ha sviluppato masterplan, edifici
commerciali, storici e residenziali, interni di uffici, bar,
club e ristoranti, usando le sue collezioni uniche di
arredi e di illuminazione.
Per importanti installazioni pubbliche, Annabel Karim
Kassar ha vinto diversi premi, come il 1° premio alla
Biennale del Design di Londra 2016, Iconic Award nel
2015 e German Design Award nel 2016.
Attraverso l’unione di tecnologie all’avanguardia e
collaborazioni con artigiani che portano nei progetti
le loro tradizioni centenarie, AKK Architects crea
strutture architettoniche importanti con differenti
livelli di decoro, che trovano in materiali, motivi e luce
gli elementi predominanti.
Annabel Karim Kassar attualmente lavora su
importanti progetti architettonici internazionali, che
di recente le hanno valso una nomination per i Future
Projects Awards 2019 del World Architecture Festival.
Nel 2018 e nel 2019 Annabel Karim Kassar è stata
invitata a ricoprire il ruolo di giudice per alcuni eventi
del World Architecture Festival.
Annabel Karim Kassar ist eine französisch-
libanesische Designerin und Architektin. Sie
besuchte die Architekturschule an der École des
Beaux-Arts in Paris, wo sie das DPLG-Diplom erwarb.
Sie ist die Gründerin von AKK Architects, einem
Architekturbüro mit Niederlassungen in Beirut, Dubai
und London, das mit ihren einzigartigen Möbel- und
Beleuchtungskollektionen Masterpläne, kommerzielle
Gebäude, historische Gebäude und Wohngebäude
sowie Interieur für Büros, Bars, Clubs und Restaurants
entwickelt hat.
Für ihre großen öffentlichen Installationen hat Annabel
Karim Kassar mehrere Preise gewonnen, darunter den
1. Preis der Londoner Design Biennale 2016, den Iconic
Award 2015 und den German Design Award 2016.
Durch die Kombination von Spitzentechnologie
und der Zusammenarbeit mit Handwerkern, die
ihre jahrhundertealten Traditionen in die Projekte
einbringen, schafft AKK Architects bedeutende
architektonische Strukturen mit unterschiedlichen
Dekor-Ebenen, bei denen Materialien, Motive und
Licht die vorherrschenden Elemente sind.
Annabel Karim Kassar arbeitet derzeit an großen
internationalen Architekturprojekten, was ihr jüngst
eine Nominierung für die Future Projects Awards
2019 des World Architecture Festival einbrachte.
In den Jahren 2018 und 2019 wurde Annabel Karim
Kassar eingeladen, als Jurymitglied bei mehreren
Veranstaltungen des World Architecture Festival

Annabel Karim Kassar a remporté plusieurs Prix pour

Annabel Karim Kassar is a French-Lebanese
architect and designer. She attended the School of
Architecture (Ecole des Beaux-Arts, Paris) and graduated
DPLG. Founder of AKK Architects with offices in Beirut,
Dubai and London, it has developed masterplans;
commercial, cultural and historical residential buildings;
and interiors for office spaces, bars, clubs and restaurants
using its unique furniture and lighting collections.
For important public installations, Annabel Karim Kassar

By using cutting-edge technology as well as collaborating
with craftspeople who bring their centuries-old traditions
to projects, AKK Architects creates strong architectural
structures with layers of ornamentation – material, motif
and light are major parts of their designs.
Annabel is currently working on major architectural
international projects that recently shortlisted for the
World Architecture Festival’s Future Projects Awards 2019.
In 2018 and 2019, Annabel was invited to serve as a judge
at the World Architecture Festival events.
