Pebble Rubble
Pebble Rubble
PR2
design: Front
year: 2021
Disegnato da Sofia Lagerkvist e
Anna Lindgren di Front Design nel 2021,
Pebble Rubble è un sistema di sedute
che, partendo dalle scansioni in 3D
delle diverse forme organiche trovate
dalle designer nelle foreste svedesi,
gioca con la similitudine tra i volumi
imbottiti e quelli di enormi ciottoli
levigati dall’incessante opera del vento
e della poggia, ammantati da uno strato
organico o vegetale in grado di rendere
le superfici accoglienti e confortevoli. 15
moduli multielemento (seduta e schienali)
accostabili in modo libero, flessibile e
creativo e 3 sassi-pouf offrono infinite
possibilità compositive ricreando,
attraverso l’utilizzo di diverse tipologie
e materiali di rivestimento, la piacevole
illusione di un paesaggio naturale.
A project by Swedish designers
Sofia Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren of
Front Design in 2021, Pebble Rubble is
a seating system that started life as 3D
scans of different natural formations
picked out by the designers in the forests
of Sweden. There is a resemblance
between the padded volumes that
resemble oversized pebbles, smoothed
by incessant wind and rain, and cloaked
in an organic or vegetal layer that
gives the surfaces a welcoming and
comfortable look. Fifteen multi-elemental
modular pieces that are approachable,
flexible and imaginative, and three
pebble-ottomans of all different shapes
and materials, offer infinite creative
capacity to recreate the pleasing illusion
of a natural landscape.
