Lo Studio Scholten & Baijings, fondato nel
2000 dai designer olandesi Stefan Scholten
(1972) e Carole Baijings (1973), nell’arco di due
decenni ha sviluppato progetti multidisciplinari
nel campo dell’interior design, della produzione
di complementi d’arredo e di tessuti riuscendo,
accanto alla ricerca di forme minimali e di un uso
equilibrato del colore, a mediare tra la produzione
industriale e le tradizionali tecniche artigianali.
Nel 2019, Carole e Stefan hanno deciso si
esplorare individualmente nuove sfide creative.
Il portfolio esistente dello Studio è supervisionato
dallo Studio Stefan Scholten.
The designers Stefan Scholten (1972) and
Carole Baijings (1973) move fluidly between the
disciplines of art and design, and artisanal and
industrial processes, to create a visually arresting
collection of work which has strong references to
the past yet is overtly of the current moment.
They continue to combine minimal forms and
balanced use of colour with traditional craft
techniques and industrial production in a
distinctive. In 2019, Carole Baijings and Stefan
Scholten have decided to explore new artistic
challenges individually. The existing portfolio of
Studio Scholten & Baijings will be supervised by
Studio Stefan Scholten.

Classe 1982, textile designer, nasce a
Bangkok da mamma italiana e papà tailandese.
A 18 anni, sceglie l’Italia per la sua formazione
e si laurea all’Accademia di Costume e Moda
di Roma specializzandosi in tessuti e stampa.
Nel suo laboratorio, crea collezioni e produzioni
limitate di tessuti e di sciarpe, offrendo ispirazione
anche alle grandi aziende internazionali della
moda come Christian Dior, Mantero Seta, Carmina
Campus di Ilaria Venturini Fendi, Woolmark e Pitti
Immagine. Per Moroso ha realizzato la collezione
7 Playds.
Textile designer, born in Bangkok in 1982 to
an Italian mother and Thai father. At 18, she came
to Italy to study, graduating from the Accademia
di Costume e Moda in Rome, specialising in
textiles and prints. In her workshop, she creates
limited-run productions and collections of textiles
and scarves, providing inspiration for major
international fashion houses such as Christian Dior,
Mantero Seta, Carmina Campus by Ilaria Venturini
Fendi, Woolmark and Pitti Immagine. She created
the 7 Playds collection for Moroso.
