2015, Lilo è una famiglia di poltrone
che omaggia, in una raffinata e colta
fusione di memorie progettuali, il design
scandinavo e l’idea modernista degli
anni ’50 incarnata nel lavoro dei grandi
maestri del design italiano, in particolare
di Achille Castiglioni di cui la designer,
all’inizio della sua carriera, fu assistente.
Disponibile anche nella versione
con schienale ad ali e chaise longue, Lilo
è una poltrona accogliente, morbida e
accomodante, dimostrando nei fatti una
versatilità d’utilizzo che la rende perfetta
negli spazi pubblici come negli ambienti
domestici.
Designed by Patricia Urquiola in
2015, with its refined and elegant fusion
of styles recollecting past projects,
Lilo is a line of armchairs inspired by
Scandinavian design, the modernist
ideals of the 1950s and how these were
reflected in the work of the great masters
of Italian design, especially Achille
Castiglioni for whom, at the beginning
of her career, the designer worked as an
assistant. Also available as a wingback
chair and chaise longue, Lilo is a soft,
accommodating and inviting armchair,
demonstrating effectively a versatility
of use which makes it perfect for public
spaces and in the home.
